“A bridge is a meeting place, a possibility, a metaphor.”
World Treehouses of Asheville, NC’s custom-crafted bridges are creative works of art and functionality, ranging from suspension bridges to static wooden bridges to hybrid creations. We can design and build one for you, to ensure the walk to your new treehouse (or anywhere else) is an enticing experience of motion, scenery and craftsmanship.

Sai Baba once said, “Life is a song; sing it… Life is a game; play it… Life is a dream; realize it.”
Asheville’s luxury treehouse builder has a burning question: How do you wish to “cross over” to your gorgeous, custom treehouse? Would it be by a Robinson Crusoe-inspired suspension bridge with rustic, handwoven rope netting? Would it be by a stately, static bridge with sure and steady access for all? Or would it be by one like this, which is a romantic hybrid complete with natural branch railings and twinkling lights?
Crafting and weaving mountain laurel railings is one of lead builder Adam Laufer’s many specialties. For some treehouse designs, these woven branches are just the thing to add texture and interest to decks and bridges.
Awed and bewildered by the enduring strength of the swimming hole features we built for Debbie on her Blue Ridge Mountain property, the repeat client called after an awful storm to pay us a very high compliment.
During planning, our client Debbie loved how our lead builder Adam Laufer listened to her and skillfully incorporated each of her requests and requirements into the design of her treehouse. She said of the team, “Of course, they have to design like engineers because it has to be structurally sound for a very long time!”
When Rachel steps inside her treehouse, it is often with the goal to create. As a writer, she values the calm, powerful space which focuses her reading and allows her creativity to breathe.
