Allow us to introduce you to the newest member of the World Treehouses family of handcrafted treetop homes: River Bend.
Situated at the sharp turn of one of our great Appalachian rivers, the property of this beautiful treehouse is located off the beaten path near a small town north of Asheville.
"I remember when we first surveyed the site for good trees," recalls Adam Laufer, our lead builder. "We were in love with the location from the moment we set foot on the property."
As with all of our projects so far, this recently-completed treehouse was built for a private landowner. Whether to entertain guests or retreat from the city to their own private hideaway, our clients wanted a unique structure to enjoy this breathtaking river-bend location while being kept safe and sound, well above the flood-plain.
As if to help prove the point, during construction, a big summer hurricane came through, dumping twenty inches of rain in the area. The river swelled up its banks ten feet higher than usual. Of course, our "temple in the trees" remained well out of harm's way, and is poised to be enjoyed and cherished for years and years to come.
