At Hickory Nut Treehouse, internationally acclaimed treehouse creator Adam Laufer designed a hand-crafted custom cupola for style, but it is also practical. It sports four large windows to bring loads of natural light into the space.
What a waste to have such a gorgeous view with no access. We want to get up there! Adam embraced the challenge of allowing that light to trickle down through the now three-level tree retreat, and he invented a fun way to get up there. The idea of a glass floor was hatched and now it’s nested high up in the custom treehouse.
Where else can you climb all the way to the top anytime you want? Accessible by a rope ladder, the glass floor inspires treehouse visitors (kids and adults alike) to see and communicate with one another on different levels. Up above, they are treated to a 360 degree view of the beautiful, forested property surrounding them and a real top-of-the-world feeling.
